Color Studies...

Here are a few pleine aire studies I've been doing over the last few weeks, learning a ton about color and really just enjoying breaking my vampire like habits and seeing the light of day. A lot more to come along with some of the latest work I've been up to for the past few months. Stay tuned...

I just wanted to say Happy Valentines Day to everyone :) I hope all you ladies ate lots of chocolates or got some roses from your special man and gents...well I hope you picked up the courage to grab yourself a valentine this year! Here is a piece I've been retouching for the past month or so which I thought would be a very appropriate post in celebration of the day of Love. Enjoy!

I LOVE JAZZ!

Hey Guys! It's been a busy busy month and I've been runnin around like a spaz trying to do way too much. Last night I got the chance to relax with a buddy of mine and listen to my favorite, some good old jazz. Got to listen to the incredible Ray Smith live it up on the stage with his band Q'd up. If you have the chance you've got to see him play, it's incredible and so much fun I absolutely love it. I can't wait for the big band night this year, get to dress up in the old 40's dresses and dance to some of my all time favorite old jazz tunes! Until then here's a quick sketch I did of Ray's band ( it was practically pitch black in the back rows so this is a super loose one)...

Updates

Sorry I haven't posted anything in awhile. I've been so busy with finishing up last semester and wrapping up
commissions. These preliminary sketches are some character explorations for an ebook I've been writing
called "Catch and Release", a tale about an effusive little girl and her "crush"- a brilliant latch key boy who
suffers from agoraphobia. I'll keep you guys posted with updates on the progress!
