Figure sketches

I've been crashing a friends figure class in the mornings to keep up on my life drawing...here are some studies from today. I made a switch from pen to pencil with much success. I've been quite frustrated for the past few weeks trying to conquer ball point, and with gesture I've realized I feel out the rhythms much more successfully with other media, so perhaps I'll abandon ball point for awhile.

    It's always so refreshing to switch from a medium that you're struggling with to one that you find more natural. Awesome gestures, like always!

    I know! Oh I'm so glad I decided to change things up, and the fact that you know what I'm talking about is very comforting :). Thank you for the kind comments, I miss seeing all your beautiful drawings, they always pushed me to focus harder on designing which you do soooo well!
